Electrifying First Half Sets the Stage for a Thrilling Series

Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic Dominate

In a highly anticipated showdown, the Boston Celtics overcame a sluggish start to secure a nail-biting 54-51 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Jayson Tatum led the charge for the Celtics with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Jaylen Brown chipped in with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Luka Doncic showcased his brilliance once again, recording his 12th triple-double of the playoffs with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.

The first half of the game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading blows. Kyrie Irving and Doncic combined for 37 points for the Mavericks, while Tatum and Brown paced the Celtics with 27 points. Despite shooting just 20% from beyond the arc, the Celtics managed to take a narrow 51-50 lead into halftime.

The second half was equally competitive, with the Celtics extending their lead to as many as 8 points before the Mavericks fought back. Dallas had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Doncic's three-point attempt rimmed out, sealing the victory for Boston.
